Accessibility
We want everyone to be able to use this website. This statement explains how accessible it is, what we know is not yet right, and how to tell us when we have got something wrong.
What we are aiming for
We are working towards WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Accessibility checks run automatically on every change, and we treat a failure as a bug rather than a nice-to-have.
What we improved
- Pinch zoom works.
- Every image carries alt text, and the build fails without it.
- Every page has exactly one main heading, so screen-reader navigation is predictable.
- Social and icon links have text that screen readers can announce.
- Embedded players have accessible names.
- There is a skip link, and it is visible when you tab to it.
Known issues
We have not yet completed a manual keyboard and screen-reader pass, or a full colour-contrast review of every component. Some older articles carry heading structure that needs updating.
Tell us about a problem
